Hello all. Since I rarely release music and mostly only make sketches on the side and mostly busy doing sound design projects etc. I dont have much to send other than some of my renders. I have this folder with renders of random ideas. Sketches I make, quick ideas etc. I rendered the ideas so i could load them on my phone and listen to them on the go. The idea was to make loops and take elements of the sketches and finally release some music again. This won't be happening because I lost all my...

Damscray (aka Albert Khasanov), the producer behind the 'Everything is OK' album by Sclwn, also produced an EP called Horseboy in early 2009. (read a review, incl new download link in the comment section). The music is best described as cinematic trip hop. Albert samples rare jazz vinyls, painting a picture with sounds, reminiscent of a Tim Burton Soundtrack. Damscray brings you his dark collages all the way from Orenburg, Russia.

music can be described as leftfield electronica, with a strong cinematic atmosphere and often features oriental/ethnic melodies and instruments. It reminisces of artists like Amon Tobin, Four Tet, Prefuse 73 - or anything from labels such as Warp or Ninja Tune. Daans’ first release on the infamous Humanworkshop label was under the name BASIC. Now some years laters, he has gone back to basics, gracing his music with his own name. exercise you brain and feet with this wonderful liveset!

Sound designer and composer Gerrit Elbrink has been releasing freely downloadable tracks for the Humanworkshop internet collective ever since it came into existence in the year 2000. Back in Space features a selection of these experiments, and in it's totality gives a clear overview of Gerrit's musical alter ego “Leisure-B”. Unlike other releases, Back in Space is a gradual process, constantly updated to the latest trend in Leisure's work. Like in a portfolio, all tracks have their own...

Remus had the time and the space to try out some of his new tunes, stuff never heard before. Sublime as always. Remus works with a big mixing consule (see pic) a Line6, a Pod x3, a Sampler and Logic running on a Notebook. His music is best described as a mixture of oriental melody's and instruments combined with Drum n bass, IDM and fierce bass lines. Remus' music is full of layers and details with a dynamic tension between organic and electronic. The live set was recorded at the LVC in Leiden,...

Mentz from The Hague makes lush cinematic jazz music. Being sample-based only, Mentz´s music has that crispy vinyl flavour. On the Relocate EP, Mentz has taken the most fragile of sounds, making the music breathe. Living in a city where an international court, a national government and a tolerant drug policy go hand in hand, 28 year old Stephan Raab makes his music between work, coherent conversations and daydreams. This EP was released on Tokyodawn Records and distributed on Scene.org....

Transient and Violent Public Disorderaz (VPD) teamed up and collaborated on this special release here on Fant00m. 4 songs out of one track that Transient made back in 1999 with (for the geeks) Modplucker Software. VPD has a thing for lofi jazzy electronika and fell in love with the 1999 track. Now almost 10 years later Transient works in a whole different way, which can be heard clearly on this release.

The Pleiades were the seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione. Atlas led the war against the gods, and was afterward condemned by Zeus to hold up the heavens on his shoulders. Orion, the great hunter, began to pursue all of the Pleiades, and Zeus transformed them first into doves, and then into stars to comfort their father. The constellation of Orion is said to still pursue them across the night sky. The sisters literally became stars. According to some versions of the tale, all seven sisters...
